The Chief Minister IT Internship Program (CMIT) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab designed to enhance the employability of fresh IT graduates through hands-on, industry-based experience.

This paid internship program bridges academic knowledge with real-world application by placing graduates in leading IT companies. Selected interns work on live projects, receive professional mentorship, and develop in-demand digital skills aligned with current market needs.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Minimum 16 years of education in IT or closely related disciplines, including but not limited to:

• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Cyber Security / Information Security
• Artificial Intelligence
• Data Science
• Software Engineering
• Graphic Designing
• Multimedia & Animation
• Telecom & Networking
• Information Systems
• Business Information Technology
• Remote Sensing & GIS

Graduation Timeline: Must have graduated within the last 4 years

Gender: Open to all genders

Employment Status: Applicant must be unemployed

Residency: Must hold a Punjab domicile and valid CNIC

Internship Details

Core Elements of the Internship

• Duration: 5 Months

Monthly Stipend (Intern): Rs. 50,000
